The Montréal New Horizons Band is always expanding its efforts to offer musical education for everyone, and your donations make this possible.
Charitable donations and tax receipts
The Montreal New Horizons Band is a registered charity (CRA registration no. 837824598 RR0001). Donations made online through Zeffy, our secure donation platform, automatically receive an official tax receipt by email at the time of donation. For donations made by cash or cheque, we issue receipts via email for donations of $20 or more, sent by the end of February for all donations received during the previous calendar year. Receipts cannot be issued for concert tickets, membership or registration fees, or donations of services. Questions? Contact us at finance@nhmontreal.com.
New Horizons Philosophy
The New Horizons International Music Association (NHIMA) is a worldwide organization comprised of over 200 New Horizons groups in the United States and Canada, whose 9,000 members are over the age of 50. For over twenty years, the New Horizons Music program has helped musical groups form to give seniors an opportunity to learn (or re-learn) how to play an instrument or become active in other musical endeavors.
The New Horizons philosophy, “Your best is good enough”, is the overarching umbrella that captures the positive spirit necessary for senior musicians to engage and succeed.
