Note: Rehearsals may sometimes be cancelled, rescheduled, or start late due to events at the Département de musique, which are out of our control. UQAM, first and foremost, is a university with students, and we benefit from the space they provide. The Montreal New Horizons Band, its board, directors, and members are grateful for and value this community partnership with the university.
Summer Camp 2025
The Montreal New Horizons Band invites you to join its 2025 summer camp!
This summer, MNHB is organising 3 intensive sessions focusing on chamber music practice (small group, duets, trios, quartets, etc.). You will form small ensembles and learn to practise and perform together with the support of your teaching team.
Format:
Week 1: 16 to 19 June (4 days), every evening from 18h to 21h3
Week 2: 23 to 26 June (4 days), every evening from 18h to 21h30
July session: July 21 to 24, and 28 to 30 (7 days), every evening from 18h to 21h30
Location : F3080, département de musique, UQAM (1440 St. Denis.)
During these summer camps, you will have practice time in small ensembles, receive coaching and feedback from MNHB teachers, lectures on essential ensemble playing techniques, and master classes where you will can get more performance practice and feedback.
At the end of these summer camps, in late June and late July, we'll present the fruits of our labour to the residents of the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal (IUGM)..

For access from the Metro, use the exit D. Go out onto St. Denis, turn right (south) and immediately right again to enter Pavilion F at 1440 St. Denis. (Sometimes the metal grille leading directly into Pavillion F is closed.)
If you enter at 1420 St. Denis Street: Turn right before the lifts and go to the end of the corridor. Go past Pavilion D (Athanase-David), then into Pavilion F (Music Department). Once there, take the lifts (right or left) to the 3rd floor.
